Airdate: Based on a True Story

Not to be confused with a certain other murder podcast series, dark comedic thriller Based on a True Story, starring Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, will premiere in June.

The 8 part series is about a realtor, a former tennis star and a plumber who seize a unique opportunity to capitalise on America’s obsession with true crime.

It also stars Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Aisha Alfa, Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Li Jun Li.

Craig Rosenberg (The Boys, Gen V) serves as creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the series. Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan are executive producers for Aggregate Films alongside Kaley Cuoco and Alex Buono, who directs episodes one and eight. Roxie Rodriguez (Aggregate Films) and Melissa Blake co-executive produce. The series is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
